21 Years of Pride in Turkish Agriculture: AGROTEC 2017

Ankara maintained its status as the heart of the sector by hosting the 21st International Agriculture and Agricultural Technologies Fair (AGROTEC 2017), the most established and longest-running organization in the agricultural sector. Organized every September and having become a tradition, this giant event brought together all stakeholders, from manufacturers to farmers, sectoral institutions to international investors, under the same roof in its 21st year. Claiming to be the “sole brand” of the sector, the fair concluded with a steady increase in the number of exhibitors and visitors.

Showcase of Technology and Production

AGROTEC 2017 served as a giant showcase where manufacturing companies exhibited the agricultural machinery they developed with the latest systems and technologies. The fair provided a suitable ground for manufacturers to both analyze their competitors and introduce their products directly to visitors. New generation vehicles and equipment that increase efficiency in agricultural production were examined with great interest by farmers flocking to Ankara from all over the country. Acting with the concept of “Agriculture from A to Z,” the organization enabled visitors to reach all kinds of technological solutions they were looking for from a single point.

Export Bridge and Global Reach

Bearing the distinction of being the oldest fair in the sector, the event was recorded as a strategic trade platform opening the doors of the world to Turkish producers. Allowing many companies operating domestically to expand their export opportunities, AGROTEC 2017 also paved the way for foreign companies to gain a foothold in the Turkish market. Individual and group participations from abroad once again proved that the fair is not only a local but also an international trade bridge. Being a source of pride for Turkish agriculture, the organization ended with new collaborations established.
