Ankara hosted one of Turkey’s most comprehensive organizations in the field of agriculture and agricultural technologies, the 18th International Agriculture Fair, AGROTEC 2014. With this giant organization held between September 18-21 at the Ankara Atatürk Cultural Center, the city became a trade bridge for a vast geography extending from the Balkans to the Turkic Republics. Maintaining its title as the largest agriculture fair in Anatolia, the event brought together hundreds of companies wishing to analyze the competition in the sector and increase brand awareness with professional visitors.
Sectoral Alliance and Institutional Support
AGROTEC 2014 reinforced its reliability in the sector with the strong institutional support it received. Led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, key institutions forming the keystones of agriculture such as TARMAKBİR (The Turkish Association of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers), The Central Union of Turkish Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, Chambers of Agricultural Engineers, and The Central Union of Cattle Breeders of Turkey were among the supporters of the fair. This broad-based cooperation ensured that the fair was not only a commercial marketplace but also a showcase for agricultural policies and technological developments.
Global Vision and Commercial Opportunities
The organization offered a strategic platform for companies asserting, “I exist in this sector too.” While participants carried out new product launches, they evaluated opportunities to grant dealerships to regions they could not reach and make hot sales. In particular, the goals of companies with a growth vision to develop cooperation with foreign partners and carry their activities beyond national borders materialized at the fair. Concluded with an increase in the participant and visitor profile, AGROTEC 2014 played an important role in the integration of the latest innovations in agricultural technologies into the field.
