While the protection and efficient management of water resources remain a global agenda item, Turkey demonstrated its vision in this field with a concrete organization in the capital. The SU-TEK 1st Water and Water Technologies Fair, which opened its doors for the first time between September 28 – October 1, 2017, at the Anfa Altınpark Expo Center, gathered all stakeholders of the sector under a single roof. The organization came to life as a comprehensive platform addressing all processes in the cycle, from the water source to the end-user, and from there to its treatment and recycling back to nature.
Huge Investment Market and Strategic Gathering
The fair took place at a critical time when European Union reports highlighted Turkey as one of the world’s largest markets for water and wastewater solutions. The projected investment plan of 33.9 billion Euros in the sector until 2023 reinforced the commercial and strategic importance of the organization. Attracting intense interest from public institutions, municipalities, private sector professionals, and international investors, SU-TEK 2017 served as a strong cooperation hub for new infrastructure projects and the rehabilitation of existing systems.
Sustainability and Advanced Treatment Technologies
In the technology-focused sections of the organization; sustainable use of water resources, saving mechanisms, treatment of wastewater, and recycling issues came to the fore. Advanced infrastructure systems, filtration technologies, and innovative solutions required for water reuse were presented to the attendees. Bringing together the latest developments and global trends in the sector on the same platform, the fair concluded as a successful organization contributing to Turkey’s water management policies and technological infrastructure.
